Kruger National Park

For many tourists, the amazing wildlife of Africa is the magnet that draws them to South Africa and Africa and it’s the top of their bucket list for travel. This is BIG 5 COUNTRY – view the lions, leopards, buffalo, elephants, and rhino living freely in their natural environment. Nothing comes close to experiencing the raw power of the lion hunt, the sheer bulk and force of the rhino, the delicacy and grace of the leopard, the supreme confidence of a herd of elephants and the adrenalin racing charge of the African buffalo.

The Kruger National Park in South Africa is an internationally renowned destination that offers one of the world’s greatest safari experiences. It is unmatched in terms of the diversity and quantity of African wildlife and the beautiful vastness of its landscapes. The Kruger National Park is the premier game reserve in South Africa and is home to a diverse member of species including the BIG 5 – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino which creates one of the best game viewings in Africa. You will be touched with the mystical empathy of man and beast, living together in harmony and with mutual respect of creatures to be born free.

Weather

The best time to go to Kruger Park is in the dry winter. Due to the drought, the vegetation is less dense and high, which makes it easier to spot animals. In addition, the temperatures are more pleasant for humans and animals, which translates into more wildlife activity which is especially noticeable in the morning.

Summer – November, December, January, February, March, and April

Winter   – May, June, July, August, September, and October

Clothing Recommendation

Always bring a hat, sunglasses and sunblock as the sun can be strong even in the winter months.

Walking shoes are a good idea all year-round, with warm socks in the winter.

The mornings on Safari Game Drives are “chilly” but heats up during the day. Please bring along a jacket or jersey.

We always suggest a “mixed luggage bag” of winter and summer clothes.
